It started as an experiment, freestyling in the low tech glamor of Melbourne’s Soundpark studio, no rules, no speaking, no plan. Gemini telepathy wrought wild. Total delirium. The soundtrack to a film Kubrick never made. Guided by Neptune retrograde.  

Gemini 4 is the latest project from Hugo Race (Dirtmusic, ex-Bad Seeds) and Michelangelo Russo (The True Spirit). Their electronic take on the blues, “John Lee Hooker’s World Today”, evaporated critics and audiences in 2017, merging the blues master's legacy with a psychedelic and hypnotic atmosphere, expanding the sonic space and shifting towards a more electronic horizon. In Gemini 4, they have reached that horizon and it has become the space itself in which they experiment beyond limits in a zodiac-flavored brew of instrumental electronica somewhere between soundtrack and chillout.
